There is not so much information on the state of the art about the combination of perceptual infant cry evaluation, using typical acoustic attributes and the methodology aspects from perceptual evaluation of voice in children, particularly in neonates. That is the main problem to solve in this project, where the implementation of dysphonia studies (DSI: Dysphonia Severity Index) and the GRBAS-scale are considered. Therefore, the infant cry is a study object of this researching. Thereby, the main goal is to develop a perceptual infant cry evaluation. The project takes in to consideration the presentation of theoretical elements and a methodology about it. In the project the infant cry analysis is characterized using several methods of Digital Signal Processing, multivariate statistical, Clinical Voice Examination procedures, etc.
